To the central north, Nepal, there lies 55km long Himalayan massif ? popularly known as Annapurna massif. The Annapurna massif falls within the Annapurna conservation area and it is the place to find various trekking routes, ethnic villages and eco-system. Annapurna Base Camp Trek, Annapurna circuit trek, Poon Hill Trek, Mardi Himal Trek and Tilicho Lake trek are few to mention classical and adventurous treks in the area.


The magnificent circuits are occasionally called the Lord Curzon trail trek, named following the former invader of India, Lord Curzon. During medieval times, he discovered the mountain ranges, and made the extended trail through the pass to Joshimath. From that time around the trek gets a well-famous location for vacationers.

The term trekking peak is more often used when referring to Himalayan summits deemed to be inside the abilities of trekking groups in contrast to climbing expeditions.
